Adobe Photoshop Workshop
Last Dec 9 &10 ,I was invited as a resource person to give a Photoshop workshop for graduating students (BS in Computer Science) of Pamantasang Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. I was adviced to have an advanced course but it turned out that some of them have not yet touched Photoshop so I had to tackle the basics of Photoshop first.
Most of them , if not all, has used Macromedia Fireworks so they are not really newbies and they recognized familiarities between the two programs. I advised them to study Photoshop since Adobe has bought Macromedia, Fireworks will likely be phased out and more integration (of Photoshop) with Dreamweaver will likely be the new scenario. I also advised them that Photoshop is an industry standard and that is what employers are looking for: Industry standard skills.
I alternated lecture with hands on which proved to be very effective because they practiced what they have learned and it stuck to their minds right away.
Engr. Ellenita Red, their adviser was kind enough to provide me the reaction papers of students and here are some of them;

He is truly an expert on the field of digital design especially Photoshop because he always seem to have the appropriate answer for a beginner like me. He is also very approachable and was easy to talk to.- Rommel Salterio BSCS4B

The Photoshop Seminar last week was unquestionably fantastic! It was a great idea to have the first half of the session for lectures while the other half was for the hands on session. That was in fact the very first time I attended such seminar and I enjoyed it.
First, I didn't know that a seminar could be this fun. I never knew that one could do many cool things in one picture or image. It's all because that the speaker thought us well. Mr Reynaldo Mendoza,Jr. has great knowledge in Photoshop. He is like a walking tutorial downloaded in the Internet. It's because of him and the whole seminar that I now want to be a web developer someday.- Paulo Angelo Avencido
